Renewable Energy

Before You Begin

If you’re a member and are interested in interconnected solar or wind generation call Lake Country Power at 800-421-9959 or email us for complete information. Understand that there are rules concerning proper equipment, safety, liability and energy reimbursement. Please contact us before you start your project.

In order to be compliant you must complete and return all three of following documents. Also, a check for $300 and proof of liability home insurance coverage of at least $300,000 is necessary. Lake Country Power will then review the application packet.

1. Interconnection Checklist: Before you begin your interconnection project, complete and  review the Interconnection Checklist to help navigate your way through the process.

2. Application for Inspection: If you’ve committed to an interconnection project of less than 40 kilowatts, please complete and return the Generation Interconnection Application (attachment 3).

3. Cooperative Agreement for Cogeneration and Small Power Production Facilities: If you have a cogeneration and small power production facility with less than 40 kilowatts of capacity, please file and return the Cooperative Agreement for Cogeneration and Small Power Production Facilities.

Returned documents and questions can be directed via email to a Lake Country Power renewable energy expert.
