Preferred Contractor Network Training Events
8-10 a.m. Friday, April 28, Cohasset Service Center
This spring, the ASHP Collaborative will be hosting and presenting at 8 contractor trainings across Minnesota. With increased attention on heat pump technology from the Inflation Reduction Act, these timely training sessions will focus on opportunities for ASHPs in cold climates, field research, and best practices. Participants can earn continuing education credits towards NATE certification, BPI certification, and Minnesota Residential Contractor and Building Official licenses.
With increased attention on heat pump technology after the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, now is the time to learn about the growing business opportunities with air source heat pumps (ASHPs) in Minnesota, including cold climate and dual fuel applications. We will cover a variety of topics, including field research on ASHPs, design, sizing, selection, installation best practices, and available rebates and incentives.
Lake Country Power will host a contractor training session from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at our Cohasset Service Center, 26039 Bear Ridge Dr., Cohasset, MN 55721.
This event satisfies the training requirement to join the MN ASHP Collaborative Preferred Contractor Network, a lead generation tool that connects homeowners with quality ASHP installers. Individual staff who help homeowners select and size equipment are encouraged to attend the training and apply for network membership. Breakfast will be provided, and participants can earn continuing education credits towards NATE and BPI certifications.
Utility staff are also welcome to attend, but we ask that attendance be limited to 1-2 representatives in order to save space at the venues for contractors.
