Lake Country Power learned this afternoon that emergency repairs must be made to a transmission line that feeds into LCP’s Cedar Valley Substation. The substation serves cooperative members from Floodwood to Jacobson and areas nearby.

Lake Country Power will re-route electric service in the area in an effort to prevent service interruption while crews from Minnesota Power, the transmission line owner, oversee emergency repairs. The two utilities are working together to minimize disruption for co-op members, however there could be outages this evening for more than 1,500 LCP members.

Members may call the cooperative at 1-800-421-9959 for more information, or visit the Outage Center online at www.lakecountrypower.coop for a real-time outage status.

Lake Country Power, www.lakecountrypower.coop, is a Touchstone Energy® cooperative serving parts of eight counties in northeastern Minnesota. The rural electric cooperative provides services to nearly 43,000 members and has offices located in Grand Rapids, Kettle River and Mountain Iron.
