Lake Country Power members near Goodland and surrounding areas will be without power starting 8:00 a.m., Thursday, June 16.

The outage will last 4 hours and will affect Lake Country Power members served by the Goodland Substation. The planned outage will affect members near Goodland, Pengilly, Keewatin, Bovey, Grand Rapids, Warba, Swan River and Hibbing.     

Power for the more than 750 members affected by the outage is expected to be restored by approximately 12:00 p.m. 

The planned outage is necessary for Great River Energy crews to rebuild the transmission line that feeds into Lake Country Power’s Goodland Substation.
