McGregor, MN — Lake Country Power’s new padmount, low-profile substation will be unveiled for the media and co-op members at a special ribbon cutting ceremony, Wednesday, November 2 at 10:30 a.m. You are invited to attend.
LCP’s “Big Sandy Substation” will be energized Friday, October 28. More than 1,730 Lake Country Power members near McGregor will receive improved electric service from this unique, first-of-its-kind substation investment.
After a summer of storms and construction-related outages, it means improved service for the farms, resorts, cabins homes and commercial businesses served by the co-op in the Big Sandy Lake area and points nearby.
“This investment will improve electric service for members,” said Greg Randa, general manager for Lake Country Power. “We appreciate the patience members have shown while we worked this summer and fall to build a safer, more reliable system for co-op members.”
