Grand Rapids, MN – Lake Country Power welcomes four new tree crew employees to the co-op’s engineering department – Josh Swenson of Cohasset, Lucas Carlos of Grand Rapids, Jay Peuranen of Tower, and Sean O’Neil of Eveleth. 

Swenson and Carlos will report to the co-op’s Grand Rapids Service Center, and Peuranen and O’Neil will report from the Mountain Iron Service Center. 

As tree crew leads, Swenson and Peuranen, will be responsible for providing field leadership for a tree crew that performs member tree requests, danger tree removal, storm tree clearing, and all other IVM work as required. As tree crew members, Carlos and O’Neil, will provide tree work assistance and perform similar duties working alongside the tree crew leads. 

Swenson most recently worked for Waste Management and was previously a tree crew foreman at Lake States Tree Service. Carlos is a graduate from a certified lineworker technical college program, and most recently worked for Irby-Okay Construction. Peuranen most recently worked as a tree crew foreman with Lake States Tree Service. O’Neil most recently worked as a foreman at Asplundh Tree Expert Company and has an AA degree in law enforcement.
